If you mean SCHIP legislation…
the advantages would be to provide coverage to underprivileged children whose family cannot afford insurance or health care.
the big disadvantage…it provides no barriers for illegal aliens from benefiting from the program..
at the link below…7 questions are answered by the SocSec Admin admitting not only will illegal aliens find means to benefit, but it can be expected…

Federal Government duties are listed in the United States Constitution, a document the DNC is not familiar with.

Benefits
1.”Free” is in the title….
2. Its a no brainer for addict mothers and bums
Disadvantages
1. Its not free for the taxpayers who will pay the bill 10x over
2. There is no choice on treatments
3. Treatments cannot be denied
4. Generics vs Name brands cannot be chosen
5. Government can have tight grasp on your medical records
6. Another way you will RELY on government
7. Doctors will have a daily patient LIMIT (this is the case with all socalized medecine).
8. End of month mad rush usually clogs doctors with patients, where many are turned away.
9. You cannot choose your own doctor.
10. It will force vaccines for just about ANYTHING you can imagine. Possibly new ones each year.
11. Government can then tie in medical records to government provided assistance and housing and devide up people based on medical conditions.
12. Government can mandate birth control
13. Government can mandate surgerys
Ultimately, when the government that likes to socalize things has its hands on your medical records, it will then w ant to limit your ties to the constitution based on your “mental health or other medical conditions”.
For example, the govt can say you cannot have free speech, because you are mentally unfit and may say things threatening or harming to others.
You have no privacy rights because you are mentally ill and may harm yourself or others given you have privacy to do so…

Bush doesn’t give a damn about the poor kids or their health here in the U.S. He is busy using all our money to fund his stupid war.. and kill Iraqi kids.
