There is no way for anyone to know the answer to this. Check your policy or ask your insurance company what (if any) benefits you have for this. Then you will have to ask your proposed OB and hospital what their rates are with this company. If you have a group insurance, you probably don’t have a waiting period for maternity. If you have an individual policy with maternity benefits, you probably do. Make sure you meet those waiting periods before your wife gets pregnant, or there will be no coverage due to a pre-existing condition.

Some BCBS plans have maternity coverage, some don’t. You really have to call the number on the back of your card, to see if yours does.

TX is a big homebirth state. We also have birthing centers, in addition to hospitals. A homebirth with full prenatal care costs just under $3,000. A birthing center birth is around $4,000, with full prenatal care. Hospital births, well, c section rates range between 15% at the county hospital here (free for illegals) and 60% (for Texas Women’s), so if you end up with a normal birth, depending on anesthetics, it’s around $8,000, but the C section usually runs $15,000 to $20,000.
