   You said it: “to reduce the deficit.” Most states, as far as I know, are not allowed to run with deficit spending, like the feds. The major reason: no way to create “funny money” through printing huge amounts of currency and floating loans in the form of bonds to the rest of the world. In order to stay afloat, the feds continue to “rob Peter to pay Paul.” Individual states can’t do that for very long without some severe consequences.

   That it has no bearing on religion or spirituality…

   Honestly? I think that California brought it on themselves. They voted not to increase their taxes. They voted to punish their leaders if there is a deficit. They basically said “make the cuts or else” and so now cuts are going to have to be made. They have a 21 BILLION dollar deficit. And you expect them to keep giving free money to college students that could be out working? And keep open programs that yes give health insurance, when the President and other programs also give health insurance for the most needy?

   NJ. You DO realize that he’s cut workers in the office, has called for the school year to be cut shorter, had hours in the offices cut shorter, and more trying to cut the budget. He’s also said if ANYONE has better ideas, then bring them forward. But the voters said “We don’t want you to cut any of these programs, we want you to not increase taxes, and we want you to be punished for not balancing the budget.” Gee. Where did they THINK the money would come from for all this, the Land of Oz?

   People need a wakeup call. And there are enough low-income health insurance for children around that this one seems superfluous, though I think he’ll try to find a way to keep it in. And honestly cash grants to people who can go and get a job and put off college for one year to me is ridiculous.

   He’s not my favorite politician. He’s a rhino of all things. But at the same time, California put him in this position. He can’t really get around it. Those government spending programs they want cut are the government programs set up to help people. Either you increase the deficit, or you raise taxes, or you cut the programs. He’s already done a lot of other cuts closer to home.

   Let’s hope the rest of the country wakes up and realizes this is how it will have to be if Obama keeps increasing government deficit, increasing government spending, and claiming that no taxes or programs will be cut. Right. You can’t increase government programs and NOT raise taxes. Choose not to raise taxes, and kiss government programs goodbye.

   If the times are correct then I think it stinks. If he can’t balance the budget then he needs to be voted out.

   I’m sure there are other things that could be cut. But not Health care
   for children. As well as cash grants for working class college students.

   He needs to go back in becoming the terminator.
